TOWING WINCHES Two unused DMT hydraulic towing winches (40T pull at 10 m/min high-pull mode, 17T at 20 m/min low-pull, 160T brake holding force, YOM 2009) from a cancelled newbuilding project. Karmoy trawl winches (two units, drum capacity 1,800m of Ø34mm wire, overhauled 2023) also available.
MOORING WINCHES A four-unit mooring winch system (23T SWL, undergoing refurbishment and recertification, available for rental from early 2026). A buyer is also seeking 8-point mooring winches at 150T+ capacity—sellers can respond directly.

Most winches up to approximately 30 tonnes ship by flatbed truck or low-loader within Europe. Heavier units—such as the IHC Hytop intermediate winches (61T each) or Maschinenfabrik Brohl storage winches (28T)—require heavy-haulage transport or port-to-port shipping as deck cargo. The Deep Down LARS (10m x 13.3m footprint) needs specialist heavy transport. Wire rope is typically shipped on the drum but may be removed for oversized units.
